The Parallel History Project is pleased to announce its latest documentary collection on India during the Cold War. PHP affiliate Prof. Jordan Baev, Coordinator of the Cold War Research Group-Bulgaria, has provided a number of documents which shed light on the relationship between the major Non-aligned state and the Soviet Bloc. The new archival evidence documents the importance the Bulgarian leadership ascribed to India. Among the documents from the Bulgarian Central State Archive (TsDA) are analyses of Indian positions on global politics, regional conflicts like Kashmir, and the Indo-Pakistani military confrontation of 1971.
This collection is another significant addition to the growing body of PHP collections on the Global Cold War.
